Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m Anna – vet, farmer’s wife, mother of two small children. And now, author. My book, Call the Vet, was published in April. Please have a read and let me know what you think of it.
I live on a farm in beautiful rural North Dorset with my husband Rob, my children Jack and Beth, two Red Devon bulls, 50 Red Devon cows and their followers, 17 Gloucester Old Spot pigs, 20 Wiltshire Horn sheep, four rescue chickens, two farm cats, two Parson Jack Russell terriers, one Labrador, and my parents-in-law
As a child I l devoured the James Herriot books and thought it all sounded marvellous. I think if the great man was alive today, he’d be tweeting and blogging. And he’d probably be a woman, trying to juggle a family and a farm alongside all the “hands up cows’ bottoms” fun.
My posts are about country life as I see it, in all its earthy, exhausting, raw, gorgeous glory.
PS The beautiful photos on my site are mostly taken by Dorset photographer Colin Varndell. You can see more of his work at http://www.colinvarndell.co.uk.
